| Fundraising Dinner a Success |

The pre-dinner social hour was abuzz with people from all walks of life showing support of the Stand Up For Kids Foundation which provides opportunities for the youth in the local communities. The delicious appetizers fed the guests while they learned about each other, the organization, took pictures, had footballs autographed and made bids on the silent auction items.
Following the social hour, guests settled into a fine dinner of Fillet Mignon and Shrimp Skewers. The first speaker, the Honorable Mayor Nancy Tira-Lukens of Eden Prairie, Minnesota acknowledged Mr. Griffin and the Stand Up For Kids Foundation support of kids with an official proclamation and the Governor of Minnesota Mark Dayton declared April 15, 2011 “Stand Up For Kids Day”.· Everyone then was entertained and enlightened to the impact the foundation has already had on one of its kids with the rousing speech by Taylor Kurth of Park Center. Finally Cedric Griffin provided the guests with his personal background as a youth which prompted him to so passionately start the Stand Up For Kids Foundation, finishing his speech by thanking everyone for their support. The fantastic evening ended with a desert of cheesecake as a Live Auction was conducted by Emcee Eugene Meaur. Highlights of the auction included a Super Bowl Package for Two, a House Boat Vacation donated by Cedric Griffin and Diamond Necklace, Earrings and Bracelet set donated by Monique’s White Diamonds. All Live Auction winners received the deal of a lifetime while financially supporting the foundation. Given the resounding success of the Stand Up For Kids Foundation’s inaugural fundraiser, it's hoped that the upcoming years will provide even greater chances to reach even more kids. STAND UP. BE CHANGE.
